www.firetactics.com has been steadily increasing its visitor base since July 1999 when it first appeared on the world-wide-web and is now recognized as one of the most accessed firefighting research websites on the internet. During the year we received hits from firefighters in over 77 countries! Our current mailing list is over 700 strong - these are firefighters, fire chiefs, scientists and fire engineering students who regularly visit for updates to our 14,000 pages of international research. Since 1999 we have received visits from and debated with some of the world's most prominent scientists and fire chiefs including Dr Vytenis Babrauskas (USA); Dr Harry Carter (USA); Dr Martin Thomas (UK); Richard Chitty (UK); Peter Ganci Jnr (FDNY Chief of Department - Killed in action at WTC-9-11); Mats Rosander & Krister Giselsson (Sweden); Commander John P Farley (US Navy); Deputy Chief Vince Dunn (FDNY) and Dr Charley Fleischmann (New Zealand); who have all closely followed and supported our work. www.firetactics.com is a non-commercial website - all information and downloads are provided free of charge but remain copyright to the original authors or organizations who have been kind enough to allow reproduction here. Our objective is to share information amongst firefighters worldwide in an effort to make their job safer and more effective.
