           Automatic Nozzles

Automatic Nozzles are mainly preferred for their ability to automatically maintain a consistent stream reach, providing a greater impact force during the normal fluctuation of fireground pressures and flows. Excessive nozzle reaction is easily dealt with by the nozzle operator who simply 'throttles back' by use of the flow control handle.  Slide valve technology incorporated within the branch ensures a consistent stream all the way down to the closed position.

With rapid short bursts (pulsing) becoming a popular technique the slide valve technology incorporated within the Automatic enhances this effect making it easier for the nozzle operator to 'pulse' the flow, particularly at high pressues, when compared to ball valve nozzles.
